Big Bay, Michigan

We had a blast in a small town called Big Bay, MI. Big Bay is located in the upper peninsula right above the state of Wisconsin and 25 miles from Marquette, MI the home of Northern Michigan University. We spent 1 day and learned plenty from the locals and the history of Big Bay and surrounding areas. First, the water falls were absolutely beautiful and climbing through the woods was an experience. Our tour guy, Adrian, was a young cool guy and been hiking through these trails since a young boy. He is only in his early twenties and knows the area very well.

"Thanks Adrian, for the yummy peanut butter and organic veggies!"

Also, I wanted to give a special thanks to Nancy! She is a very hospitality person and appreciate the last minute stay at your hotel - Big Bay Depot. She also gave us a tour at the Lighthouse and a history lesson on how the lighthouse became a well know Bed & Breakfast. This unique bed & breakfast is one of the few surviving resident lighthouses in the country. Check out the link for further information on the Big Bay Point Lighthouse.
